API - Application Program Interface.

US Easy Ads provides data access by way of url queries. For example if you were to visit the following url you would see an rss feed.

http://www.useasyads.com/pub/usbtapi.php?lmt=20

This feed varies depending on the url syntax. Notice the 'lmt=20' part of the url. This tells the server to limit the number of items returned to 20 ads.

Programs which responds to these queries are commonly refered to as an application program interface or API. US Easy Ads is currently developing our API and will post new url syntax commands as they are added.
Here is the current list of url syntax to limit the query.

Base url: www.useasyads.com/pub/usbtapi.php

Commands:
• q - Limits the items to match a search term.
• lmt - Limits the number of items returned. If lmt is omitted, the api sends 1000 ads.
• st - Limits the location of the ads to items in or near the states abreviation indicated by this value

The way to ad these commands is to include a question mark on the end of the base url then include the commands seperated by an ampersand.
for example:
http://www.useasyads.com/pub/usbtapi.php?lmt=40&st=ny
The above example would return 40 ads in and near New York state.
http://www.useasyads.com/pub/usbtapi.php?q=ford&st=az&lmt=10
The above example would return 10 ads in and near Arizona with the word ford in the title or description.
